This will include, Camel Herding, and learning the art of managing herds which is a cornerstone of Somali culture and survival. Dan will also learn Desert survival, gaining the skills to thrive in the arid landscapes from finding water to navigating the vast terrain.


Somalia is no walk in the park, the current threats range from the Al-Shabaab, an Islamist militant group that poses a constant threat through bombings and assassinations, targeting civilians and foreign entities. Dan could also worry about the piracy on the Somali coast or the interclan conflicts in rural areas where he will be staying, these disputes are usually over political power or territorial disputes.
